Introduction
HuGo collects Hungarian points of interest in the US.
His mission is to help you stay connected with Hungarian culture and people across America. He has a growing list of places and events that you can explore. Our Service allows you to post, link, store, share and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, videos, or other material.
Our Privacy Notice describes how we use and with whom you share personal information when you use the application. We do our best to protect your privacy. Our goal is to maintain your trust and confidence when handling
personal information about you.

How we get the personal information and why we have it?
We currently collect and process (use) the following information
1. Personal information you give to us:
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you. If you are in the European Union, under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information is your
consent.
When you register for HuGo
Registration is required to become a full user of the application. You can use HuGo without registering, but without registration you can only search and look up points of interest (POIs). Registration is needed for POI uploads, earning ranks and seeing who uploaded other POIs.
You can delete your HuGo account any time.

We keep your personal information necessary for registration till the existence of your user’s account.
We process the following personal information for users administration:
App User Name
It is necessary to give your AppUser Name for user identification. This name will be shown under “My Profile”.
App User email Address
In order to ensure the real identity of the users and to be able to contact you, we ask for your email address. We contact you by email for instance when you wish to reset your password or when you become the winner of a competition.
Your email address can’t be seen by other HuGo users and we don’t share it with anybody.
App User City and State
We ask you to give the information from which city or state you belong to.
HuGo is a fan of the Hungarian community in the US. One of HuGo’s goals is to bring us all closer together. That’s why other users can see which state you are from.
Password
We ask you to create a password to secure your access to your account.
When you comment on HuGo
You can write comments to any points of interest (POI) uploaded. Your comments will be seen by all HuGo users.
You can delete your comments anytime.
When you share points of interests (POI)
You can share events and locations with HuGo users. You can delete POIs uploaded by you anytime.
When you like something
You can “like” points of interest with a little heart symbol.
If you registered on HuGo with your Facebook account, your Facebook friends also registered on HuGo can see what you “liked” or viewed (in detail) among their posted places/POIs, within HuGo.

User_ID
At the time of registration, we create User_ID in our database, we associate it to your username in order to make unique identification ID in our database to identify your record easily.
Stars & Rankings
The more points of interest you share the better! As you upload them, you’ll get rewarded by stars. Each state has its own count with HuGo. This means that not only in your own area can you move up in the rankings, but as you visit other states, your contributions will get rewarded there as well. You can gain contributor, star contributor and top contributor rankings.
Other users can see your rankings in your HuGo profile.
However, it is true that the Facebook friends’ section will not be visible to the users who logged in from Manual form or Apple form.
HuGo profile & rankings can be viewed if a user clicks on the “Posted By” picture (at the bottom of POI description). The name of the user, his ranking, and number of contributions to other states can also be seen.
3. Personal information we get from third parties or you share with
them
When you register for HuGo with your Facebook or Apple account Facebook and Apple Login provides two major benefits: authentication and data
access.
Facebook or Apple authentication enables you to create an account and later log in to HuGo by using your Facebook or Apple credentials. You do not need to create and remember a separate password for HuGo.
When you wish to log into the application with your Facebook or Apple account, you grant permission to Hungary Foundation so we can retrieve information on Facebook or Apple on your behalf. If you are in the European Union, legal basis of data processing under GDPR is your consent.
We process this personal information till the existence of your account. You can delete your HuGo account any time. By delation of your profile in the app, all personal data is being deleted from the app and our database.
Users can also send an email to hello@hellohugo.hu in order to request deletion of their data.
What are these permissions and for which purposes?
Registration with Facebook account Your Location, Name and Photo on your Facebook profile

HuGo users will see which city or state you live in according your Facebook
profile, as well as your profile photo and name on Facebook.
Your Friends on Facebook
If you register with Facebook, HuGo receives from Facebook the names of your Facebook friends who also registered to HuGo, so that if your Facebook friend registered on HuGo “likes” or views(in detail) your posted place/POI, as the place owner (creator of place) you can see which one of your friends liked or viewed that place, within HuGo.
Your email address
With Facebook registration you allow HuGo to get your primary email address on Facebook.
In order to ensure the real identity of the users and to be able to contact you, we receive your email address. We contact you by email for instance when you become the winner of a competition.
Your email address can’t be seen by other HuGo users and we don’t share it with anybody.
Registration with Apple account:
Name
The name defaults to your name from your Apple ID, but you can change your name if you wish to register with an other name on HuGo. The modified name is only shared with HuGo and not with Apple.
Email
You may choose to share with HuGo your real email address or an anonymous one that uses the “private email relay service” of Apple. In case you don’t allow HuGo to get your Apple default email address, HuGo asks for an other email address.
Login with Facebook or Apple account
Every time you log in HuGo with your Facebook or Apple account you share some information with them: for example the fact that you are using HuGo.
Google map & search engine integration
HuGo includes Google Maps and Google search engine features and content.
Hungary Foundation and Google while processing your personal information act both as data controllers under GDPR in case of users from the European Union.
Google collects and receives data from Hungary Foundation including search terms, IP addresses, and your latitude/longitude coordinates. When you use the map in HuGo you provide Personal Data directly to Google. You can get more information how Google uses information from HuGo at

If you use HuGo from the territory of the European Union than your data are processed by Google Ireland Limited, Ireland. Google Ireland Limited is an independent controller of personal data under the GDPR.
Hungary Foundation as data importer is deemed to have entered into the Standard Contractual Clauses with Google Ireland Limited as data exporter and the transfers is subject to the Standard Contractual Clauses under GDPR.
Google and its Affiliates may use and retain this data to provide and improve Google products and services, subject to the Google Privacy Policy at

Location (precise or approximate)
You can enable HuGo to access your location to visit the Nearby Places and Events. Each time you use HuGO you can decide whether or not you want to share your location and if you want to share your precise (GPS-based) location or your approximate location.
